The Defrauders

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
1Woe to the defrauders.
2Those who, when they take a measure from people, demand in full.
3But when they measure or weigh to others, they cheat.
4Do these not know that they will be resurrected?
5For a Tremendous Day?
6The Day when Humankind will stand before the Lord of the Worlds?
7Not at all. The record of the wicked is in Sijjeen.
8And what will make you realize what Sijjeen is?
9A numerical book.
10Woe on that Day to the deniers.
11Those who deny the Day of Reckoning.
12But none denies it except the sinful aggressor.
13When Our Verses are read to him, he says, “Legends of the ancients.”
14But no! Their hearts have become corroded by what they used to commit.
15Undoubtedly, on that Day, they will be screened from their Lord.
16Then they will roast in the Blaze.
17Then it will be said, “This is what you used to deny.”
18No indeed. The record of the righteous is in Elliyyeen.
19And what will make you realize what Elliyyoon is?
20A numerical book.
21Witnessed by those brought near.
22Surely, the virtuous will be in bliss.
23On luxurious furnishings, gazing around.
24You will recognize on their faces the radiance of bliss.
25They will be given to drink of pure sealed wine.
26Its seal is musk—this is what competitors should compete for.
27And its mixture is of Tasneem.
28A spring from which those brought near drink.
29Those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed.
30And when they passed by them, they would wink at one another.
31And when they returned to their families, they would return joyfully.
32And when they saw them, they would say, “These people are lost.”
33Although they were not sent as guardians over them.
34But on that Day, those who believed will laugh at the unbelievers.
35On luxurious furnishings, looking on.
36Have the unbelievers been repaid for what they used to do?
